LOVE of Z: Make way for Eco-Friendly Garudaplus

T.S.R.T.C goes Green

TSRTC is not just limiting its green initiatives to the City boundaries. Extending the eco friendly initiative to Inter-City routes, the corporation is set to launch the only 2nd Inter-State Bio Fuel Premium Vehicle, by partnering with Scania India.

It all started several months ago at the “Green Fuel Vehicles for transportation” conference arranged by INDIAN FEDERATION OF GREEN ENERGY (IFGE) in New Delhi on 9th and 10th of September 2015. Soon after the conference, back at Hyderabad the "TSRTC Think Tanks" had started making their efforts to bring back the Use of Bio-Diesel which was earlier used in few city Buses(at present converted to Diesel).

Earlier in 2016, actions plans were made for Re-coversion of Diesel converted CNG Vehicles into CNG Vehicles. A year for the conference, in the month of September 2016, the corporation agreed to procure 02 units of "Scania Metro link HD 13.7M" Buses powered Bio-Diesel. The buses arrived from Scania factory, Kolar to Hyderabad around mid Jan'17.

After languishing in the parking yard for more than four months, these buses will be launched on May 05 2017. We are excited to see which route these buses are allotted and enjoy a ride on them. Are you ready for some Scania action ?
